From 1882 he studied at the Academy in Munich with Alois Gabl, Ludwig von Herter, and Ludwig von Lofftz. History has overlooked a great many painters from the German Academies and part of our mission is to right the ship. Far to much focus has been put on the French Academy for far too long.
