The Mentler Methodé incorporates the principles of Architecture, Mechanics, and Motion. For example, the structure of the skull determines outward appearances (Architecture), the muscles of mastication modify that appearance (Mechanics), and the muscles of expression give the face character (Persona).

These Labs prioritize function and form over Latin anatomical names. The Mentler Methodé builds from the inside out, discarding the envelopes and contours used by observation-oriented artists. It develops an artist’s ability to see structure and form rather than the flat outline.
